New Members Welcome!

The Karratha SES Unit is always on the lookout for enthusiatic and dedicated men and women who want to contribute to their community in a significant way. You have to be at least 18 years old to apply and there is a standard induction period when the new member and the unit both figure out if they can work together.

You have to be prepared to set aside Monday nights to come down to the Unit HQ for training and maintenance tasks. In addition there will be two or three weekend exercises and a major Regional exercise every year. Obviously the point of the Unit is for the members to be involved in emergency response so a good relationship with your employer is necessary when time off work is required to attend emergencies.
