Karratha, located 1535 klms north of Perth on the North West Coastal Highway, is situated right in the heart of the Pilbara Coast in Western Australia. Currently the Pilbara's largest and most well serviced township, Karratha offers an extensive variety of tourism experinces for the intending traveller, as well as being the perfect base to start your Pilbara experince. "Karratha", an Aboriginal word meaning "Good Country".

Today, Karratha, a modern and well-serviced town boasts the largest shopping centre in the North West, excellent facilities for both travellers and locals alike. Many travellers use Karratha as a base while visiting the Pilbara, due to the towns central location and top class facitlities.
