The dominant feature of the Chichester Range is the rolling spinifex covered hills. The basalt ranges and clay tablelands rise sharply from the coastal plain and panoramic views can be enjoyed from Mt Herbert.

Python Pool is a permanent, natural rock pool at the base of the range, providing a cool oasis from the surrounding arid , spinifex covered plain.
