TOM PRICE AND PARABURDOO

All activities conducted by the Centres use fully qualified instructors and offer a high level of service to users. Aust swim instructors with First Aid qualifications are used for private Learn to Swim Classes and Water Orientation Classes.

A fully qualified Aerobic and Aqua Aerobics Instructor conducts classes at the Community Centre in Tom Price and Swimming Pool respectively. Royal Life Saving Society Instructors and Examiners are used for life saving and resuscitation classes.

Pool Staff are always willing to try new ideas in water based recreation for the communities of Tom Price and Paraburdoo and encourage pool users to put forward suggestions to that end.

The swimming centres at both Tom Price and Paraburdoo consist of a six lane 50m pool ranging from 1.07m deep at the shallow end to 3.4m at the deep end and a substantial baby pool with a uniform depth of 150mm. The baby pools are covered by a sun shade.

Attractive grassed areas are provided with numerous shady trees as well as a barbecue for pool users use by arrangement with the Pool Staff.

The swimming pools are available for private functions outside of public hours and interested parties are urged to discuss their requirements with the Pool Managers.
