In order to ensure efficient, effective service delivery in the areas of Community Services, Technical Services and in Economic Development it is essential that well managed and efficient administrative support structures are in place.

The Shire of Ashburton maintains substantial offices in the towns of Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Onslow and a small library/office in Pannawonica.

The services and support provided by the Corporate Services Division include:

accounting functions for the recording and controlling of Council's financial transactions and the provision of costing data to line supervisors;

providing financial evaluations and analysis in order to monitor Council's ongoing operations and to assist in the provision of the services and management of Council's records systems and the provision of efficient and effective records control;

responsibility for Council's ranger services, with rangers based in Tom Price and Onslow, who service Paraburdoo and Pannawonica;

provision of the most appropriate technology to enable Council's administrative staff to undertake their tasks in the most efficient and effective manner; and

undertaking media liaison and public relations to promote the services of Council to ensure the public get maximum value for their rates.

In order to ensure that the division meets all of its objectives and provides the support and assistance to the other divisions to enable them to meet their goals and objectives, Council ensures that staff are employed in key areas providing expenditure and revenue control, payroll and personnel records management, customer service and general administration.

The Council has a presence in all of the towns serviced by the Shire to ensure a high level of customer access opportunity. This contributes to improved customer service and a more efficient and effective administration service to each of the divisions.

The Corporate Services Division is headed by the Manager Corporate Services, Mr Gary Clark, who is based at
Council's Tom Price Office. Mr Clark is supported by the Senior Administration Officer and the Accountant who would be more than happy to discuss any issues that residents may have concerns about or interest in, relevant to each officer's area of responsibility.
