The Administration section forms part of the Corporate Services Division and provides support and advice to Elected Members and Senior Management on a variety of corporate and local government policy and legislative matters.

The Senior Administration Officer is responsible for the following:

Coordination of standard approaches to Municipal Law Enforcement (Ranger) Services and general animal control throughout the Shire;

Coordination of Record keeping and file and archive management;

Provision of community information, public relations and media liaison services;

Policy and legislation development, review and implementation;

Administration of Freedom of Information legislation;

Coordination of Youth Advisory Council's;

Administration of Native Title Claims and other land and property documents and leases;

Coordination of local government elections;

Executive support and guidance to Chief Executive Officer, Divisional Managers and elected members.
