I was originally elected to Council in 1995 on a platform of Co operation and equity. Since then my platform has not changed and I am proud to be able to say that I have been instrumental in obtaining a fair cut of the cake for Pannawonica. 1996 / 1997 saw the relocation of the town caravan site onto the edge of the oval nearer to the ablution block. This project cost in excess of $14,000.00 and I thank Robe River Iron for their contribution and assistance. 1997 / 1998, the basketball and tennis courts were resurfaced and new fencing was erected for a cost of $85,000.00. This is part 1 of a four year project that will see the total redevelopment of this area. 1998 / 1999, has see the erection of a covered recreation area and a passive recreation and garden area built on the eastern side of the new tennis court. This project is a joint development between the Shire of Ashburton, Education Department and Robe River Iron Associates with a total project cost of $260,000.00. 1999 / 2000 will be the year that the finishing touches are put on the above project which will include the development of roller skating and skateboarding facilities within the complex. 2000/ 2001, sees the construction of the first stage of the new Pannawonica - Millstream road. This project will replace the current Yarraloola - Millstream road which is in an uneconomical state of repair.
